Throat Chakra
The Throat Chakra, Vishuddha, is the fifth of the seven main chakras, located at the base of the throat area. It governs self-expression, communication, and the ability to speak one's truth. It is where you find your voice, speak your truth, and sing praises—for yourself and others. This chakra is associated with speaking up and expressing yourself, but also with hearing and being heard. Philosophically, the Vishuddha chakra is associated with truth, clarity, and responsibility.
The throat chakra is associated with the colour blue. It's thought that blue has a calming effect on the body. Some people also associate blue with communication, honesty, and empathy.
