"That sacred moment when the sunlight seeps through the canopy in the early morning; when the light bounces off the branches and speaks directly to the soul, reflecting the power of nature inside."

Komorebi is a visceral exploration of the artist's long-standing obsession with the the sky, trees and the heavens. Inspired by the Japanese concept of sunlight filtering through the leaves of trees, this piece is a tribute to the strength and interconnectedness of nature’s ancient ecosystems. It captures the a daily ritual—the sanctuary of the forest walk—where the gaze is always upward, reflecting the light of the trees into an abstract reflective piece.

Komorebi brings a sense of warmth and raw energy to any collection. It perfectly balances the opulent, reflective quality of the metal with the untamed spirit of the botanical world. A truly unique, bright-hued abstract that transforms a space into a place of introspection and radiant beauty.

About The Artist

K A Treble, aka Kati Kaia
b. Hong Kong
University of the Arts London; Ravensbourne College of Art

Abstract expressionist painter K A Treble creates large‑scale, expressionist artworks that explore the emotional and spiritual power of colour and mark‑making, painting riotus, elemental and textural canvases in a deeply physical process.

Working primarily in oil, she builds and erodes layers over time, revealing hidden textures and stories beneath the surface, using the palette knife to carve stories and etchings into the canvas. Her work brims with gestures and textures—inspired from modernist masters. It may feel familiar at first, but it will leave you feeling hit by something urgent and new. Based in the south-east of England in the Surrey Hills, she is inspired deeply by the surrounding nature, light, colour, movement and energy.

Kati is part of the Womens Artist Art Week (WAAW) as well as the Visual Artists Association (VAA) - You can read more about her work at katreble.com >

Luminous, bold, energies…

When I close my eyes, turn inwards, tune into the nature surrounding us or inner work to my soul, my senses come completely alive, in visuals of bold colour, in marks of expression, I dream pure colour and dance across the canvas with the knife carving out stories with layers,

K A Treble, Kati Kaia

Seeing people absorb art, try to read it, then simply surrender to the beauty, take in the colour fully and FEEL emotional connection what i’ve energetically put onto the canvas, see it reflect to their inner light, that’s the magic.’
