SS20 COLLECTION, LONDON: For months and months now we have been beavering away, colour boarding, conceptualizing, painting, dancing, creating, testing, adjusting and sampling our latest collection of inspiring pieces to reflect joy and bring colour into your practice!

There is so much behind the scenes work that happens to get to this point, from our first meetings with buyers to discuss the collection to the sweat and not too many tears to get to the point of bringing it all together. The final step, shooting our mats with some amazing creatives, yogis, models and dancers! This season, we wanted to really play with defining ‘sisterhood’, with ideas of yoga bringing us all together in such an inspiring practice under the Aquarius sun. Our photographer, the ever cool, Alexander Meininger took our inspirations and really brought it together. Thank goodness the sun really shone out that day, casting a beautiful light over the lens. Our yogis Jade, Laura and Sabi all moved, laughed and danced their way through the day and the results are just lovely! In our light, bright London studio… albeit a chilly one! We started to warm up…

Alexander Meininger's work is influenced strongly by his interest in people and their personality. For him the key to a great photograph lies in the details and mannerisms that make out a persons character. He started out with mainly documentary work but soon moved on to fashion and portrait photography and has shot for some of the world’s leading magazines such as Vogue, Harper's Bazaar and L'Officiel.

This season we explored the magic of light, the togetherness of yoga and empowered femininity.
— KATI, FOUNDER OF KATI KAIA

Our three muses Jade, Laura and Sabi, encapsulate the bringing together of yogis, dancers and creatives. These inspiring and empowering women are all passionate about movement, the spirituality that yoga brings to connect body, mind and it’s bringing light to the palms of your hands. As the light poured through the windows, on a freezing winter’s day, we played with the beams as it coated us in gold. The sky opened it’s hands and the earth swelled to meet it and we were lucky enough to dance in it’s rays under the Aquarius sun and celebrate the feminine energy.

We hope this shoot inspires you to movement, to dance on the mat like clouds across the sky and to feel the feminine balance with the masculine energy, which has the power to bring us all together.
